I m a lifelong creative, passionate about producing beautiful images that communicate feeling, emotion and deliciousness. My obsession is teaching others how to achieve the satisfaction of making what they see with their eyes look even better in an image. I m a qualified and practising commercial photographer, graphic designer, illustrator and cook book producer with a lot of experience. (and I'm not keen to add up exactly how many years!) Born and bred in Ireland, I meandered my way to Australia around the turn of the millennium, where I met my Chilean love David, who is a very passionate wine expert. We are very lucky to have a beautiful boy together. I love enjoying the amazing outdoor beach-side environment that I am so privileged to live beside. Yoga keeps me fit and balanced... and being with my family makes me truly happy. David and I published a multi-international award winning cook book, PAIRED - Champagne & Sparkling Wine (The food & wine matching cook book for everyone)' and I create cook books for commercial clients also. I teach in-person photography workshops for Le Cordon Bleu Australia-wide and I previously taught short courses in photography and also graphic design for the SAE Institute Australia at their Byron Bay campus. Teaching is hugely rewarding for me. There's nothing greater for me than seeing someone feel inspired and filled with a sense of achievement from their own efforts that I have facilitated. When I initially received the book it was smaller than I expected, but once I got into the content I realised that it was exactly what I was looking for. Everything was very clearly explained and beautifully illustrated. The language is very easy to follow and I enjoyed the exercises. I definitely feel like my food photography has improved a lot as a result of working with this book, and the response I'm getting on my instagram images has increased dramatically. Highly recommend!
I received this book as a gift. I am a food/cocktail photographer/videographer and must say this is a great book! Fran Flynn, the author, made this so easy and fun to read. She goes over everything you need to know to hit the road running. Probably the best and most useful gift I have ever received. Thank you Fran for taking the time to share your wisdom.
