This book is Amazing! I stayed up later than I should have because I did not want to put it down. They are separate miraculous stories (miracles/synchronicities) and I kept saying to myself after reading them: "wow, incredible, etc." There really are miracles and synchroncities happening all around us if we just keep our eyes, ears & mind open and be just a little bit curious.

Arrived fast, actually fastest in my other new books ordered. and in very good quality like a new book.I finished reading immediately and am very satisfied. This is about book condition as used book delivered. On contents, some stories were impressive.I believe there are no coincidence, but synchronicities.Carl Jung was right.I liked parking meter charity story. I never thought of this small charity - put coins on almost expiring parking meter of anybody else.It was heart warming story. I have many Quarters, so I thougt next time maybe I would try this anonymous charity in case of necessity.

I find uplift and enjoyment in reading from time to time about the "small miracles" that happen all the time all over the world. The stories in this book are collected by two Jewish ladies but are not exclusively about Jewish people. The stories range from about 2 to 5 pages in length, so I find them just right for reading briefly, 1 or 2 of them before bedtime or with the morning coffee. I usually open the book at random, and sometimes the story that I open up will contain a story or a detail that applies EXACTLY to some personal concern that happens to be on my mind! So, I sometimes get an extra small miracle for myself that way--but only rarely. Whether or not I get a small miracle of my own from the stories, I almost always get good reassurance that helps to brighten my outlook on life.Stories of small miracles can be about happenings of greater or lesser amazement and meaningfulness. One of the most surprising and memorable stories that I encountered in this book was by a man who went on vacation with his family to Disneyland in LA. His mother really wanted to go along too. In LA the man decided that he wanted to take a day to go on a one-man bus-ride-adventure around the city of Los Angeles. His mother insisted on going with him and, against his better judgment, he finally agreed to take her with him. A point came when he and his mother found themselves having to get off at the last stop of the bus in a rundown, scarry-looking part of town. The man was very hesitant to get off there but the bus-driver assured him and his mother that they'd be alright and that they were only 5 minutes from downtown and that other bus-drivers would give them helpful guidance. They found a store in the bad neighborhood where they could use the restroom and then: "Upon leaving the store we turned to the right--and quite suddenly--we came face to face with the shock of our lives. Before us was a homeless man. His hair was long and dirty. His beard nearly reached his belt. His stained clothes hung loosely on his thin frame. I couldn't look at him. But I had to. He was my brother, Doug. He was my mother's first child."The author goes on to tell about how his brother had been a star high school athlete before he went to the Vietnam war, a terrible experience that he never got over. He had become a schizophrenic. He disappeared from home. The author and his mother had not seen him for two years.Doug, the lost brother, said, "Hi, what are you guys doing here?"The author writes, "Now I realized why my mother had to come with me on the bus that day. She had a mission and she completed it." After awhile, they left Doug standing in the street at that point, but he came back to their hometown after a few months. The author of the story then helped him get situated in a Rescue Mission there, and concludes: "For the last ten years I have met him every Sunday afternoon for coffee and pie at the mission, where he now is able to work a few hours each day in the mission's thrift shop. He tells me about his personal discoveries as he walks endlessly around town. In short, he has come to have a life of his own that he considers satisfying and useful."The story really seemed to contain two "miracles." First there was the shocking coincidence of the encounter with the lost brother who'd become a street person (which really stunned me). Then there was the resolution of this brother's problem in the way he came back to his hometown, and the Rescue Mission and thrift store gave him a gateway to a more meaningful existence, not to mention the heartwarming way that the Sunday afternoon meetings between the two brothers brought even more love and meaning into Doug's life. I think there was some kind of great meaningful appreciation for me in the realization that even though Doug continued to be a street person, his life had purpose and meaning and love in it. The story still makes me feel quietly happy and at peace. The "Comment" following this story is: "The universe provides its own system of transportation to carry us to the places we most need to be."The Comments which follow each story are one of my favorite aspects of this collection of stories. Some of them, like the one quoted above, I find really terrific.

Absolutely love this book! The stories are incredible! Highly recommend all of them! Would make awsome gifts to friends & family. They're all short/true miraculous stories that make me tear-up (in a good way!).

I have ordered at least 6 of these books and give them as gifts. Everyone loves these true stories. It is comforting to read about miracles.

Would give 5 stars but this is the same book as the other one "Small Miracles, A 2-in-1 Edition of Heartwarming Gifts of Extraordinary Coincidences". So, I'll be giving this one away (maybe for Christmas) to a friend or neighbor. I'm keeping the other for myself! Just love this though The stories are short, miracles/synchronistic happenings. It proves how everyone & everything is all connected.

The first time I received this book from my sister, I enjoyed it. I have loaned it out and didn't get it back, so I bought another one. I love the collection of stores in the Small Miracles series. You're going to love them too. I'm sure of it.

My daughter was given this book after cancer surgery. How this great little book came to her and one of the stories that was exactly as what happened to me is indeed a miracle. I only wished that the Judith Leventhal or Yitta Halberstam would get in touch with me so I can tell them a story for their next book. This book is an inspiration and the confirmation that there is more to live than what we can see with the naked eye. The stories in this book and mine are proof of a larger truth.Well written, warm and for people of ever or no religious path.
